Goldust Denies Reports Of WWE Contract Expiration
Goldust is a veteran in the business and it was the belief that after his WWE contract expired, he would go to AEW to help his brother Cody Rhodes. He is currently recovering from knee surgery.
Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Goldust’s WWE Contract has expired and is currently under a 90-day no-compete clause. It fell in line with the idea that he could be free in May so that he might make an appearance at Double or Nothing. However, it seems that this report was untrue according to Goldust.
Goldust commented on the report on his Instagram and said the following:
PSA… listen up!!!! I am still under contract with the @wwe, and everything that is being said online is just talk, and complete bullshit. This is exactly why I hate smart marks!
Since we heard it from Dustin Runnels himself, he is still definitely under WWE contract. While it would have been interesting to see him appear at AEW, that won’t be happening.
