As we saw last night on RAW, Stephanie McMahon announced a huge change to the WrestleMania 35 Main Event. Previously the match was for the RAW Women’s Title, but now all titles are are on the line as Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship is also up for grabs.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the WrestleMania 35 Main Event and provided a potential spoiler on the outcome of the match. According to his report, WWE’s plan is still for the top babyface to walk out of Mania as the winner. It’s been said that WWE has been planning for months to have Becky Lynch go over and receive a major push coming out of the match, as she has been pegged as the new “chosen one.”
“The idea is to make this the biggest Women’s Title match of all time with everything at stake and the person that everyone wants to see win is gonna win and she the chosen one. She is the one that they picked. I mean maybe not last year, but it’s been that way for months. I think some people do know that, but it just amazes me that people can watch this TV and not see it.”
With WrestleMania 35 slated to be the longest runtime in the events history, it looks as though those who stay up for the whole show are going to be treated to The Man closing out the night holding the belt high.
