Last night on RAW Dean Ambrose made his final appearance for the company as he was scheduled to wrestle Bobby Lashley in what was advertised as his final WWE match. The match never got off the ground and Ambrose was attacked prior to the bell by Lashley, and the result was a complete squash that ended up with Dean laid out on the announce table set up on the stage.
Dean Ambrose last night on RAW was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, and it was again reaffirmed that this was in fact Dean Ambrose’s final night with the company.
Regarding Dean Ambrose’s appearance on RAW last night, Meltzer said:
“This is really… this was his last night in.”
Many believed that with WWE being so openly advertising Dean Ambrose departure for the company that this was all part of a storyline, however as we have been reporting all along, Ambrose is indeed leaving the company once his contract expires. Ambrose’s contract is believed to run out in a matter of days, thus officially making him a free agent.
Last night when RAW went off the air, fans in attendance were treated to a final farewell as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns all appeared for once last curtain call from The Lunatic Fringe.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Dean Ambrose’s future now that his time with WWE has finally wrapped up.
