WWE Makes Alteration To The Universal Championship Following WrestleMania 35

Over the weekend there were rumors that WWE might potentially be debuting a new version of their tag team titles, however with many focused on the prospect of new Tag or Women’s Championship most may have overlooked a big change WWE made to the Universal Title following WrestleMania 35.

Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 to become the new WWE Universal Champion, and on Monday’s episode of RAW Rollins came out and talked about being the new Champ. That is when some fans online noticed a very significant change had been made to the Universal Championship. Previously the title featured fasteners on the belt strap it on, instead the new design has replaced the traditional style fasteners with velcro.

You can see the change to the belt clearly when Seth Rollins was cutting his promo on RAW this past Monday, just most seemed to miss it. You can see a photo showing the belt without the traditional fasteners and with velcro instead in the photo below.
