WWE’s Plan For Samoa Joe On RAW
WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe was backstage for this week’s Superstar Shake-Up edition of Monday Night RAW, but he wasn’t able to appear on the broadcast as he was battling an intense case of the flu.
It has been reported that the plan was for Samoa Joe to appear on RAW as one of the new additions as part of the Superstar Shake-Up. This appears to definitely be the case as we saw WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor drafted to SmackDown, which seemingly confirms Joe’s move to RAW along with the US Title.
It’s expected that WWE will announce Samoa Joe’s arrival to the RAW roster later this week or at the least on Monday’s RAW, and we now may have some idea as to what the plan is for the US Champ on the red brand. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also confirmed that Joe will be moved to RAW once he has recovered from his battle with the flu. It was also stated that the original plan for this week’s RAW would have had Samoa Joe appear and work an angle with Braun Strowman, however that was scrapped due to Joe’s illness.
So, it sounds like we can look forward to a program between Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman, which WWE should begin upon Joe’s arrival on RAW.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Samoa Joe’s plan on RAW.
