Who Was Responsible For Sasha Banks’ WWE Hiatus?
WWE Superstar Sasha Banks told the company that she wanted to quit after finding out that she and Bayley were dropping the Women’s Tag Team Titles to The IIconics at WrestleMania 35. Sasha and Bayley were said to be very vocal in a public display of protest over the decision to have the Boss N Hug Connection drop the belts, which resulted in Banks being given time off and sent home to figure out what she wants to do.
In an update to the situation surrounding Sasha Banks, in an audio update on PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson elaborated on the Sasha Banks ordeal. He stated that it isn’t exactly 100% clear as to whether or not Sasha Banks left on her own, or if she was told to go home to figure things out.
Johnson said:
“Whether she was sent home or she decided to go home under her own accord that story has changed based on the person I have spoken to and the company is basically gonna let her cool off and bring her back as long as she wants to come back.”
“So she’s under contract. She can’t walk out. She could ask for her release, it doesn’t mean that she’s gonna get one, but it’s still up in the air in terms of where she’ll be when she returned.”
It has been reported that WWE is expecting to have Sasha Banks back in time for the Money In The Bank PPV next month. It was also stated that WWE is also considering the idea of having Banks win the MITB briefcase at the event, but we will have to see how that plays out.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else concerning Sasha Banks and her status with WWE.
