Matt Hardy announced that he and his brother Jeff will be appearing on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live and will be addressing the online rumors that have been going around regarding Jeff Hardy’s recent injury.
Jeff Hardy suffered an injury to his right knee during a WWE Live event house show last week. There have been numerous reports and rumors circulating which have stated that Jeff might need to undergo surgery to repair the damage to his knee, however nothing has been confirmed. This has also led to rumors that the newly crowned SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions might have to relinquish the belts if Jeff does indeed have to miss a considerable amount of time due to injury.
Matt Hardy posted a video on his twitter account which confirmed that they will be on tonight’s SmackDown to address the rumors going around, which appears to be a significant announcement that was teased. There has also been speculation that the announcement could be Jeff Hardy revealing that he is retiring after his most recent knee injury, but again that is just one of more extreme rumors that have been going around.
We will have to wait and see what tonight’s announcement from The Hardyz will be, hopefully it isn’t the end of the road for one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history.
