Brock Lesnar Planning To Retire From WWE Next Year
It was reported last night that former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has told UFC President Dana White that he plans on retiring from MMA.
This is huge news, as it was no secret that Lesnar had been using his potential UFC return to help leverage his negotiations with WWE. With news that his UFC return is no more, and that Lesnar plans to retire from MMA, one might think that The Beast Incarnate doesn’t have any other cards left to play when trying to work out a new deal with Vince McMahon and the WWE, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
According to a report from Brad Shepard on the latest episode of the “Oh, You Didn’t Know” wrestling podcast, Brock Lesnar is said to have spoken to Vince McMahon last week and told him that he wants to retire from the WWE next year at WrestleMania 36.
Shepard reports:
“According to Brett Okamoto of ESPN, UFC President Dana White told him Brock Lesnar is retired from UFC, but there’s an even bigger story which hasn’t been reported yet… Brock had a conversation with Vince McMahon over the weekend and wants to retire from WWE at WrestleMania 36. That’s huge.”
It was also announced earlier today that Brock Lesnar will be appearing next month when WWE returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their scheduled June 7th event. Other names that were revealed by WWE to appear in Saudi Arabia included The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, and the return of Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Brock Lesnar’s WWE future.
