WWE Superstar Sasha Banks has been given time off following the huge drama and fallout following her Women’s Tag Title loss at WrestleMania 35, but the hope was to have The Boss back with the company in time for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV on May 19th.
However, Sasha’s return has yet to come and the participants for this year’s Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match have already been announced. But that does not mean that the possibility of seeing Banks appear at MITB has completely gone away, as it looks like there might still be a chance we see The Boss compete at the pay-per-view.
According to a report from Brad Shepard on the latest episode of the “Oh, You Didn’t Know” wrestling podcast, WWE is kicking around a couple ideas for how to introduce Sasha Banks into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match if she does return in time.
If Banks does return in time for MITB it sounds like Sasha will taking out one of the already announced participants and taking her spot on the go-home episode of RAW before Money in the Bank. Another option that is being discussed is to have Sasha Banks attack Dana Brooke at the Money in the Bank PPV itself, thus taking her spot and inserting herself into the match instead.
Shepard said:
“Last week I reported that Sasha Banks was expected to return on the Money In The Bank go-home show and be a part of that Money In The Bank women’s ladder match. Of course, how she ended up in that match was never specified. You know the participants were announced.”
“In the ever-evolving ‘Sasha Saga’ — say that five times fast — I was told as of Monday that they’re considering having her take out somebody already in the Money In The Bank ladder match on the pay-per-view go-home show and take her place or attack Dana Brooke at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view itself and take her spot. So watch out for that.”
We will have to wait and see if Sasha Banks and WWE are able to work something out prior to Money in the Bank of May 19th, as the two sides are said to still be stuck in a stalemate.
