Rey Mysterio faced off against Samoa Joe for the United States Championship at Money In The Bank. However, the match was cut short and ended in controversy. WWE plans on addressing the United States Title situation next week.
In addition to the match being called off due to Samoa Joe’s busted nose, Rey Mysterio suffered a post-match beatdown that resulted in him getting apparently injured. So the status of the US Title is in question.
PW Insider reported that Rey Mysterio suffered what is believed to be a separated shoulder at Money In The Bank. Rey was also not present during RAW this week.
