Last night WWE held their NXT TakeOver: XXV special, which did not disappoint as fans have been buzzing about the event ever since. At TakeOver we saw Shayna Baszler retain her NXT Women’s title, and we also saw Adam Cole regain the NXT Championship.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it sounds like WWE has their eye on two top NXT Superstars for a main roster call-up. He went on to discuss last night’s TakeOver and mentioned that he has been hearing that WWE’s next choices for main roster call-ups include both the NXT Women’s Champion and NXT Champion.
With Adam Cole and Shayna Baszler both going over last night and walking out of TakeOver: XXV as champions, it seems fitting that Vince would have his eye on the two as he historically has done so in the past.
We will have to wait and see if and when these two NXT Superstars get the call to the main roster, and what it would mean for the other members of their respected stables.
