Ric Flair recently went off on Shawn Michaels in a scathing online promo, where he asked Michaels who he was to judge Flair.
Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Ric Flair had a lot of celebrities reach out to him during his recent health complications and surgery, but Shawn Michaels was not included in that list.
Apparently, Flair “gets off” with celebrities calling him. Even if he is a major celebrity himself, he enjoys having celebrity friends. HBK not reaching out to Flair seemed to be the last straw. While Flair mentioned everything that Shawn said about him on the ESPN 30 For 30 special, the two have been on friendlier terms since then.
Ric Flair spoke to TMZ and thanked the likes of Triple H, Offset, Hulk Hogan, Charles Barkley, Ted DiBiase, The McMahon Family. However, he did not mention Shawn Michaels.
We hope Flair and Michaels can go back to being friends eventually.
