John Cena is keeping himself busy with Hollywood and does not have time for WWE right now. It seems he is now part of another franchise and apparently is replacing The Rock.
According to a report by Deadline, John Cena has been confirmed for the upcoming Fast & The Furious 9 film. While his role in the movie has yet to be announced, it is said to be a crucial one.
The Rock is not returning to the 9th film in the franchise. His Hobbs & Shaw film was said to have upset the rest of the Fast & Furious cast as the spin-off prevented the 9th movie from happening sooner.
Perhaps we might see Cena and The Rock in a movie later on in the franchise, but it will not happen for Fast & The Furious 9.
