Attitude Era Legend Savio Vega To Appear For MLW
If you grew up watching wrestling in the 90’s or have dove into that decade with the WWE Network, the name Savio Vega might ring a bell. He is a Puerto Rican wrestling legend and was an integral part in the rise of both Stone Cold Steve Austin’s and Goldust’s characters.
Major League Wrestling is at the forefront of bringing current South American style wrestling, known as lucha libre, to the United States. The lucha market hasn’t been tapped by most companies to the extent that MLW is tapping it.
Savio will join the likes of LA Park, Puma King, Fenix, Pentagon Jr., Hector Garza Jr., Rey Horus and Rush for MLW. Vega might have been in the works to wrestle for the promotion for a while, or he might be a substitute for Daga, who the company will no longer work with after Daga lied about why he couldn’t make MLW’s Fury Road event.
Daga said that he had planned some vacation time and couldn’t make the show, but was later seen wrestling for AAA during the supposed vacation.
MLW sent out a tweet about Savio Vega performing for their brand.
