ICW World Heavyweight Champion, Adrian “Lionheart” McCallum has passed away at the age of 36.
ICW (Insane Championship Wrestling) announced the passing of their World Champion earlier today on twitter. Currently the cause of death has not been released.
ICW wrote:
“We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic death of ICW World Heavyweight Champion, Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum. Adrian was a mainstay of ICW and British professional wrestling. Most importantly, he was our friend. His passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of those who knew him.”

McCallum sent out a tweet late last night/early this morning, which stated:
““One day you will eat your last meal,
You will smell your last flower, you will hug your friend for the last time. You might not know it’s the last time, that’s why you must do everything you love with passion” #Afterlife @rickygervais”

Some of you may remember McCallum as the wrestler who suffered a broken neck during a match with current WWE Superstar AJ Styles (prior to his signing with the company). McCallum broke his neck in two places while taking the Styles Clash, and doctors had told him that he may never walk again. Lionheart made his return to the ring a year later, and was the ICW World Heavyweight Champion at the time of his passing.
McCallum also wrestled a WWE Dark Match once at the SmackDown Live tapings in Liverpool, England against Justin Gabriel. He also had spent time competing with both Ring of Honor and TNA during his career, and was the owner of his own independent wrestling promotion – Pro Wrestling Elite. McCallum was also serving as a coach and trainer at the GPWA Glasgow Asylum.
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family, and those who have been affected by the loss of Adrian “Lionheart” McCallum during this difficult time.
