Tony Schiavone Will Return To MLW
Tony Schiavone has been with Major League Wrestling since their resurgence in the wrestling world. He was the voice you heard during their first foray back into wrestling with their PPV titled “One Shot” and was a part of MLW Fusion until earlier this year.
MLW moved their tapings to Saturday nights and Tony wasn’t able to commit because of his jobs as a commentator for college football and AAA baseball. While Tony was gone, MLW used Jim Cornette as the teammate for Rich Bocchini. Needless to say, Jim had his share of controversies recently.
Jim has gone on record saying Joey Ryan and Sami Callihan will not be apart of MLW as long as he is with the company. Which makes this news even more relevant because according to MLW, only Schiavone and Bocchini will be calling the action.
This summer one of wrestling’s most beloved voices returns to the broadcast booth to call Major League Wrestling’s flagship weekly series MLW FUSION.

Major League Wrestling confirmed today that legendary commentator Tony Schiavone returns to the airwaves this July alongside Rich Bocchini.
Revered as one of the sport’s most iconic voices, Schiavone has anchored the broadcast team for MLW FUSION on and off since the series premiered on beIN SPORTS in April 2018.
“Just like the fans, I’ve been hoping for Tony’s return and this summer it happens,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “Tony is one of the most talented broadcasters in the sport.”
For many, Tony was the voice of their childhood. He has also filled a role as the voice of your weekly commute with his podcast with Conrad Thompson “What Happened When”. It isn’t clear if this is a permanent spot for Tony, or if he is just doing this because football is not going on currently.
We at Bodyslam could not be happier that Tony is returning to MLW and are excited to hear his voice again.
