Rusev has not been seen on WWE television for a long time now and reports claimed that he asked to take some time off. He was very over with the WWE Universe with his Rusev Day gimmick, but WWE managed to ruin his push and now it is unlikely he will be getting another push.
According to a report by Brad Shepard, he was told by a source that Rusev and Lana are apparently in disagreement regarding their WWE future. Rusev does not want to re-sign with the company, but Lana wants to stay in WWE.
According to a source in #WWE, @RusevBUL wants out, but @LanaWWE is pushing him to re-sign. He expects her to follow him if talks fall through.
There is no rule in WWE that a husband and wife need to be working for the same wrestling company. We will keep you updated regarding Rusev’s WWE status as we learn more.
