Corey Graves Says “Holy S#!t” On Raw – Expect More Profanity In Future
The first Raw of the Paul Heyman era happened last night. To say last night started off with a bang would be a purposeful pun.
The show started with a falls count anywhere match between Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman. Less than 10 minutes into the match, this happened.
Braun and Bobby were taken to local medical facilities and the replays of the spot throughout the night did not feature Corey’s expletive.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the use of profanity on Raw is probably not going away.
Corey Graves took to Twitter after Raw was over to say he was fined for his choice of verbiage.
It seems Raw is starting to become more ‘edgy’ which could help or hurt the brand. Raw is a PG rated show, which means many kids are watching as long as their parents. This happened within the first half hour of Raw, meaning most kids are watching at that hour. There has yet to be any backlash for the incident. That’s not to say there won’t be if this trend continues.
