Out of all the signings and partnerships All Elite Wrestling has announced, Oriental Entertainment Wrestling may have benefited the most.
OWE is starting an off shoot of their brand in the UK. If they weren’t affiliated with AEW, whose to say how much attention and traction this announcement would get. But, they are affiliated and this is getting plenty of attention.
VultureHound has announced that OWE has revealed the first participants in their inaugural UK tour tournament. If you follow Mid-Atlantic/Southeastern American promotions, you are sure to recognize one of the first teams announced.
The Gym Nasty Boys are comprised of Timmy Lou Retton and White Mike. They might be the most entertaining tag team on the independent scene and can back up their shenanigans with wrestling ability. The team is as good out of the ring as in the ring, as well as show how to stand up for themselves and others when it comes to being progressive in wrestling. The Gym Nasties commented on the news by sending out a tweet.
It’s unknown whether OWE picked the Nasties to face their Strong Hearts team, or if AEW had a say. This is being said because Cody and Brandi Rhodes have stayed that the Gym Nasties are one of their favorite acts going in professional wrestling.
