REPORT: Jon Moxley’s AEW Contract Has An Interesting Detail
Jon Moxley parted ways with WWE after fulfilling all his obligations with the company. Now he is having the best time of his career and competing in both AEW and NJPW. However, he can return to WWE if he so desires.
Recent reports have mentioned that though Moxley’s AEW contract is for three years, there is an interesting detail included, where he can leave in one year if he decides he wants out.
It is noted that Moxley told Triple H and Vince McMahon that he intended to take a year off from WWE in order to heal his mind and body. So naturally, it was assumed by the company that he would return in 2020.
Rajah also reported that WWE had already started up some “tentative creative” for his return at the Royal Rumble.
In fact, the source adds that WWE was so sure that Moxley would be back in WWE that they had already planned for some “tentative creative” for his comeback at the Royal Rumble next year.
In the end, Moxley signed with AEW and this is something no one saw coming until he made his appearance at AEW Double Or Nothing and shocked the world.
