Numerous WWE NXT Superstars Receive Name Changes
It isn’t uncommon for WWE Superstars to undergo name changes. Often the change occurs when a Superstar is called up to the main roster, when they are first signed to the company, or randomly during their time in developmental.
The reasoning behind WWE’s decision to change the name of a Superstar can vary even more, and sometimes a Superstar can undergo multiple name changes before WWE finally lands on something that they feel works.
It looks like WWE has made some changes recently to a slew of NXT Superstars working in developmental, and some of them have had name changes previously. According to PWInsider, WWE has changed the names of the following developmental talents:
- Malcolm Bivens (fka Stokely Hathaway) will now be known as Courtenay Moore
- Brennan Williams as we previously noted is now going by Dio Maddin
- Dan Matha is now being called Dorian Mak
- MJ Jenkins has been renamed Monique Jenkins (which is her real name)
- Nick Comoroto will now be called Nick Ogarelli
- Robert Strauss (fka Robbie E) is now known as Robert Stone
- Rachael Evers will once again go by her real name, Rachel Ellering
We will keep you updated if there are any more alterations to WWE NXT Superstars names or gimmicks.
