Well that didn’t take too long, according to Justin Barrasso of SI.com, CM Punk will be doing a one on one sit-down interview, as well as meet and greets the same day on August 31st at Starrcast III in Chicago during All Out Weekend.
The event is independently run, and the Punk appearance is only for Starrcast, not AEW’s All Out pay-per-view later that night. Still there will be tons of speculation by wrestling fans on whether or not CM Punk will make a surprise appearance at All Out which is being held in the Chicago area.
Many speculated that CM Punk would be a part of the All In show last year in some capacity, but while The Elite and the entire wrestling world were clamoring for that to happen, in the very end nothing materialized on Punk’s end. While Punk did do a meet and greet at the Pro Wrestling Tees Store that weekend he made sure not to get the fan’s hopes up that he would be appearing at All In.
Maybe this year will be different, maybe there’s still hope that Punk will make some kind of cameo at All Out, while we wouldn’t hold our breath on it, at least fans will get a chance to meet the Straight Edge Superstar at Starrcast III events during All Out Weekend.
