Roman Reigns Reported To Not Be Back With WWE Full-Time
WWE Superstar Roman Reigns announced last year that he had once again been diagnosed with leukemia, and that he was taking a leave from the company while he once again battled the disease. Roman returned earlier this year and announced that his leukemia had once again gone into remission.
The announcement that Roman Reigns’ leukemia had gone into remission was a huge moment, and it even was featured as part of ESPN’s ESPY Awards, which saw Roman’s announcement win WWE’s first Espy.
While Roman Reigns has been featured prominently on WWE TV since his return, it looks as though Reigns is not back with WWE on a full-time basis. According to a report from Tom Colohue, a source within WWE has told him that currently Roman Reigns is not back with the company full-time. WWE is said to be protecting Roman by placing him in tag team matches or short singles matches that are spread out, as well as using him only for big media appearances.
Regarding Roman Reigns’ current WWE status, Colohue wrote:
“From a #WWE source:
“Roman still isn’t back full time completely. He wanted to be back straight away but WWE are happy to have him protected in tag matches or short matches spread out and big media appearances.” “
