Dolph Ziggler On How Much Time He Wanted Off From WWE
Dolph Ziggler has been on WWE television for almost 15 years now. He has seldom taken time off, which would explain why some fans get tired of him so easily. The man has basically done it all in the company and has feuded with nearly the entire roster.
He rekindled his feud with Kofi Kingston leading into WWE Super Showdown Saudi Arabia, which was a feud in the past where they had wrestled each other over 20 times.
There were times where Dolph was talking about leaving the company for a bit to pursue other activities but he was always brought back into the fold sooner rather than later.
Dolph was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet recently and spoke on how long of a hiatus he originally planned to take.
I was hoping for six months … and then I was like ‘well, three months would be great’ and a couple of weeks in I was asked [to return] and I said I can’t do it. With a little bit of Royal Rumble in there, we had a couple of weeks but [it was] a solid two and a half months [off] which is more time than I had off in 14 years combined.

Dolph hasn’t really started a new program with anyone since his one and done feud with Kevin Owens. On Smackdown, Dolph has been an ally to Shane McMahon, which probably means he will be involved in the Shane/Kevin Owens feud heading into Summerslam.
