Sid Vicious Informed WWE Days Prior To RAW Reunion He Would Not Be Attending Despite Being Advertised

Many names were advertised and promoted for last night’s RAW Reunion special, and fans were treated to a lot of great moments of nostalgia throughout the night.

One of the names that was originally advertised as being scheduled to appear was former World Champion Sid Vicious, however as we saw last night there was no Sid on the RAW Reunion.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Sid had informed WWE a few days prior to last night’s RAW Reunion that he would not be attending the event as previously advertised. Meltzer said:

“Sid Vicious had actually pulled out several days ago, but you know how this goes. They just kept advertising him anyway.”

Once WWE was informed that Sid would not be attending the event, his name was not pulled from advertisements, and no mention was made as to why he never appeared.

This isn’t uncommon as Sid is notorious for no-showing events at the last second, afterall it is softball season..
