The Rock Has Quietly Retired From Wrestling
In a bit of surprising news. The Rock announced his retirement from wrestling in an underwhelming way.
I miss wrestling, I love wrestling. Yes, I do. I mean, no. I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have just a really wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, but there’s nothing like a live crowd, a live audience, a live microphone as you both know
The Rock
Debuting in 1996, The Rock’s rise to fame only took about two years before he was one of the top stars in WWE. Exploding on to the mainstream soon shortly after being WWE’s main draw, Rock transitioned himself to being Hollywood’s top action star.
The Rock retiring doesn’t seem that far fetched when his active acting career is now longer than his active wrestling career. His movie schedule is jam packed and he rarely has time to do much outside of his film and television projects.
It seems like Rock will stay retired too because he makes enough money in Hollywood that it doesn’t seem like any amount of Saudi money will bring him back to the ring. We may see an appearance for the Smackdown move to Fox but we will not be seeing an actual match from The Great One.
