Only 40% Of AEW’s Roster Currently Revealed
All Elite Wrestling’s weekly television series begins October 2nd on TNT. AEW announced the signing of one of wrestling’s top independent stars earlier today, but apparently over half of their roster has yet to be revealed.
AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes fielded some questions from fans earlier on twitter and revealed some details about the company’s roster.
One fan commented on how he couldn’t believe that they let WWE get Goldberg, to which he responded that their plan is to have more modern wrestlers. The same fan then made a comment on the size of the wrestlers that have been revealed as part of the AEW roster, pointing out how small everyone is besides Luchasaurus and Shawn Spears. It was then that Cody revealed that only about 40% of AEW’s roster has been announced so far.
“We want/have modern wrestlers. Big ones at that. No disrespect intended to the heritage and those who paved the road. 2019.”
“We’ve revealed about 40% of the roster. Sometimes it’s better to let the painter paint and then judge the picture.”
