All Elite Wrestling will kick off their weekly television series on TNT beginning October 2nd.
AEW has been building a solid roster of talents, which according to Cody Rhodes we have only seen about 40% of their roster revealed so far. One of the newest members of the AEW roster is the highly popular Orange Cassidy, who’s signing was announced earlier this week.
Orange Cassidy’s signing to the AEW roster was discussed in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. They noted that AEW intends on booking Cassidy in a way that won’t bother most fans, and that there has already been a sales meeting with TNT where Orange Cassidy was brought up and he had an extremely favorable response from those in the meeting.
“We were told that based on the plans they have for him, that he’s going to be booked in a manner that people won’t mind and it will be entertaining to most. There was also an ad sales meeting with TNT where Cassidy was brought up and the response was extremely favorable.”
We will have to wait and see exactly how AEW plans on booking Orange Cassidy, or if he will get any advertising/marketing deals for the company.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Orange Cassidy or AEW leading up to their debut on TNT.
