Chris Jericho Issues Statement On Stolen Championship – Says There Will Be Worldwide Investigation

The wrestling world went wild today when news broke that Chris Jericho’s AEW World Championship belt was stolen.

The story goes that Jericho took a limo to Longhorn Steakhouse and with him was the wrong luggage from the airport. Someone took Jericho’s luggage with the championship belt contained within it and no one knows who it was. Jericho even filed a police report about the incident.

After EVP Cody and Longhorn Steakhouse issuer statements regarding the matter, so did Jericho.

Jericho was sure to drink some “bubbly” after that portion of his after match promo went viral.

It’s refreshing to see AEW turn what could be a giant negative into a positive. Twitter has also had a blast making memes and blaming the likes of The Repo Man for the theft.
