WWE will be going through a lot of changes and it seems that the TakeOver specials are included.
NXT TakeOver specials have always taken place the night before a big pay-per-view event in WWE. However, that is likely to change next year as the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is not preceded by a TakeOver event. There is a Worlds Collide event in its place.
According to a report by PW Insider, WWE commented on their decision of changing the TakeOver schedule. The TakeOver events will still be taking place but at a later time.
“That event will be Worlds Collide. The schedule of the 2020 NXT TakeOver Events will be out in the near future.”
