WWE brought back the King of the Ring tournament this year, and the finals are set to take place this Sunday night at WWE’s Clash of Champions PPV.
On last night’s episode of RAW we saw Baron Corbin win his semi-final triple threat match and cement his place in the King of the Ring Finals at Sunday’s Clash of Champions Pay-Per-View.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the King of the Ring tournament and stated that he feels that we will see Chad Gable beat Elias on tonight’s SmackDown and go to the Finals to face Baron Corbin.
“I don’t see them doing Baron Corbin vs Elias in the match so I should think that Chad Gable is going to the finals. I’ve seen that match before, look, Chad Gable is a super wrestler. If they give him time he could have a great match against Baron Corbin.”
We will have to wait and see just what happens on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, but it looks like we could be getting Corbin vs. Gable this Sunday for the Finals of the King of the Ring at Sunday’s Clash of Champions PPV.
