Luke Harper shocked many fans during Clash of Champions when he came to the aid of former tag team partner Erick Rowan. Fans thought that Harper was locked under WWE contract with no intentions at all to get back inside a WWE ring.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that “He had suffered a neck injury while he was out of action that was concerning, but he checked out okay.”
Harper was at the WWE Performance Center weeks before his return to get his neck issue checked out and this is reportedly why Harper looked like he was ‘down in size’ when he returned.
Originally Vince McMahon wasn’t a fan of Harper’s and had nothing for him and essentially thought he was useless but with the way fans have reacted since his return, Vince may have changed his mind.
