Elias had to be pulled from the King Of The Ring tournament owing to injury. He made an appearance on the titantron this week, but the question arises as to when he will make his in-ring return.
Initial reports suggested Elias had an ankle injury and that it was “broken,” and WWE even used it as an angle, but it is not confirmed whether or not this is his actual injury. However, he certainly does have a legitimate injury and is waiting to be medically cleared.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Elias’ projected return date will see him make his in-ring return in late October. It is likely that he will be feuding with Chad Gable as Elias appeared on the titantron in order to mock Gable this week.
