CM Punk and Colt Cabana were once the best of friends. Then Punk appeared on Colt Cabana’s ‘Art of Wrestling’ Podcast after leaving WWE. Punk had basically a tell all interview that ended up getting Punk and Cabana sued by WWE’s doctor, Chris Amann.
The lawsuit was won by Punk and Cabana, but the win came at the cost of over a million dollars in legal fees. According to Cabana, Punk said he would pay for all the legal bills, but when Cabana and Punk had a falling out, and Cabana hired his own legal counsel, that’s when things got even more messy. Punk would not pay for Cabana’s new legal costs, so Cabana sued Punk for damages. Punk counter sued Cabana and the litigation seemed like it would last for years.
On September 25th, Cabana asked Punk to settle the lawsuit and on the 26th the lawsuit was settled. Fans surely had many opinions on the matter, and when one fan spoke to Punk about Cabana, Punk did not shy away from letting out his true feelings on Twitter.
It seems as though, even though the lawsuits are settled, the bad blood between the former friends is still boiling. Cabana has yet to publicly comment on the matter.
