A short snippet of a video was promoted for Total Divas and in that clip Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were seen pitching a LGBTQ storyline to WWE producers.
Deville had this to say about her development as a WWE star and as a person:
“I’m going through this kind of evolution process in my life where I’m coming into my own and figuring out who I wanna be, and starting to feel comfortable with who I am. I’m finding my style and it’s a great feeling.”
The clip shows Mandy and Sonya heading to a production meeting and Deville said the following in the voiceover:
“Mandy and I are meeting with the producers to pitch the first-ever LGBTQ storyline in the WWE … This is Mandy and I’s moment, this is where we prove ourselves.”
During the clip, Sonya was telling the producers that “she feels responsible to represent the gay community.”
The storyline hasn’t appeared on WWE television yet, and we don’t know if it will/has been approved or declined but previously Mandy Rose was asked about the idea and had said that you just have to stay tuned to find out what could happen and never put it out of the question.
