NXT Talent Deletes Tweet Commissioning Fans To Design Their T-Shirt
T-Shirts and merchandise in general for wrestlers is big money business when on the independents. It’s due to merch sales that the Young Bucks were able to make a well off living in wrestling.
WWE is a merchandising machine, with a fraction of their profits going to the talent with whom their likeness is represented. NXT talent are said to be paid anywhere from the high 5 figure to low 6 figure salaries, they are paid to perform for the company among other things.
Usually with a gigantic company like WWE they have their own creative department for merchandise. As is apparent in the new line of NXT shirts made available on WWE Shop, the design department is severely lacking.
Dominick Dijakovic took it on himself to see if he could get fans to design a shirt for him, going as far as to offer them money for the design. Shortly after posting the tweet it was deleted. The reason for the deletion is unknown.
