Is There a saving grace for that HIAC’s s**t storm??

Hell in a Cell was certainly a PPV to “forget”, with “forget” being the operative word here since that finish to the main event between Seth Rollins and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship was such a cluster f*ck that it can’t be erased from your mind.

Now, with the “Draft” being the centerpiece of WWE programming for last Friday’s Smackdown as well as this Monday’s RAW, is there any way in Hell that this feud can continue and regain steam after its tragic non-climax a week ago on PPV ?.

Well, that’s what fantasy booking is here for; giving the fans some scenarios that might be an option they latch onto against the horrid WWE creative and providing some logical escapes from silly and contrived story lines. So, without further due; here is my humble fantasy booking for the continuation of Seth Rollins’ feud with “The Fiend”.

For a start, it is very unlikely that they will end up on the same brand after the conclusion of RAW. However, this is the entire aim of this piece; an alternative creative. So, taking in mind that Seth being the current Universal Champion will make it harder to see him switching brands and the complete silliness of rehiring “The Fiend” to the red brand just after having him announced as a Smackdown draft pick this past Friday, the solution would be to bring “The Beastslayer ” to the blue brand.

But one might question; How is that supposed to happen? Stripping Rollins out of the title as he will be on the opposite brand ? that will be very silly and uninspiring despite the possibility of yielding a good in-ring tournament out of this scenario to crown the new champion with a wide roster of great in-ring wonders (Cesaro, Ali, Buddy Murphy, etc.). Then, the solution is simply losing clean and dropping the belt to someone else. However, who that person would be?.

The answer might seem far from logic for some, but it makes complete sense from any angle you look at it; Kevin Owens. First, he is coming from Smackdown, so he is a “fresh face” in a way despite being on RAW just one year earlier and spending the better part of the year being flattened out with a losing WWE title feud against Kofi Kingston, and a feud with Shane McMahon which its story arc jumped the shark but had a satisfying ending somehow.

Second, He never had his Universal title rematch that he deserves after getting murdered by Goldberg in 22 seconds back in 2017. Consequently, he would have a legit claim for such a rematch. Also, what else can WWE do with him on RAW? Have him be a goober who chases the 24/7 title? Or maybe forming a half-hearted tag team and go for the RAW tag titles which are useless by this point? The US title? sure AJ Styles is a high-quality punching bag at the moment, but that will do no good for “The Prizefighter”. By default, going for the top belt on the brand seems like the logic option, especially after “firing” Shane McMahon from WWE which is a big victory considering it is against a “McMahon”.

That can be very simply achieved; Seth Rollins would open RAW with a (usually awkward and bland) babyface promo and address the situation with “The Fiend” (keep that in mind for later). In said promo, he would claim that his issues with Bray Wyatt are put to rest for the moment since they are on distant brands. Then, he would flip the mood to a fiery one challenging anyone in the back for a match because he is a fighter (with all the catchphrases necessary of course). At that moment, Kevin Owens would emerge and accepts his challenge, not to a standard match but for the Championship. He would make his (valid) case by stating the arguments mentioned earlier about his credentials for that title shot which would goad Seth into accepting the challenge.

During the show, a “Firefly Fun house” episode would play where Bray denies that his business with Rollins is over, simply because “The Fiend never forgets”; like that you have the intrigue necessary for what would be the main-event of the night. As such, Rollins has so much on his plate and he can not be focused 100% on his title match, which should be the night’s long story arc to keep the viewers hooked. More teasers for Bray Wyatt would work, but keeping it to a minimum would be fine.

Finally there you have it; the main-event of the night: Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. WWE should give them 20 minutes to craft an awesome match that reflects their undeniable prowess between the ropes. As the match gets into a frenzy of exchanged offensive sequences and when Seth is about to have the match under control, the lights would go out; “The Fiend” laughing sound would be heard and Rollins would be looking for him to avoid another attack. However, Bray won’t be actually there which will serve as a major distraction to help Owens turn the tides and win the title. Consequently, WWE would have achieved three goals in one swoop: Giving Seth a clear motive to keep the feud going with “The Fiend”, making a title change without degrading the belt, and most importantly giving KO the push he much needs just coming in from Smackdown. In my humble opinion, this “Fantasy Booking” might be a win-win situation for all parties if it was real in any way.

After all, it is your comments that actually matter about this scenario, so tell me what you think about it in the comments down below , or you can reach out to my twitter @OGouesmiHellRaiser. Until next time guys!
