Mike and Maria Kanellis signed a five year contract with WWE recently but it appears that Mike Kanellis isn’t satisfied with his time in WWE and is being wasted away.
Maria Kanellis issued a statement on her Instagram page backing her husbands choice of requesting his release.
Maria stated in the post that Mike was going through addiction while with WWE and never took any time off, or went to rehab, she also stated that she is still with WWE.
A difficult situation can emerge for Mike Kanellis though with the time of WWE stars requesting their release publicly (Luke Harper had difficulty), so there is a chance Mike can waste the next five years doing nothing if they decide against releasing him.
