Update On How AEW Will Handle Win/Loss Records From Year To Year
All Elite Wrestling has said since the beginning that wins and losses will matter in their company unlike other promotions, and so far AEW has been making that known.
AEW Wrestlers win/loss record is shown during their entrance graphics on TV and is featured on wrestler profiles on their official website.
Some light was shed onto future plans for how the company will handle AEW Wrestlers win/loss record in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. They went on to clarify a recent statement from Nick Jackson about resetting of the win/loss records, stating that they will be keeping “career records” as well as “annual” or “season” records.
It was said that AEW will reset everyone’s record at the beginning of the calendar year, and that a new season will begin in January each year.
“Regarding the win-loss records, the career records will always exist but there will also be annual season records. The new season will start in January and last throughout the year and the same thing would happen in 2021.”
It was pointed out that there will be some bad years record wise for some AEW Stars, but that when the new season starts at the beginning of the calendar year – everyone gets a clean slate.
