Dio Maddin was taken out of action from the commentary booth a few weeks ago when he was F5ed through the table by Brock Lesnar.
Samoa Joe has taken Dio’s place since the injury sustained by Dio and it appears that Samoa Joe will remain until he comes back from his thumb injury.
Ryan Satin announced on WWE Backstage that Samoa Joe will be on commentary until he is recovered from his injury and that Dio Maddin has returned back to the WWE Performance Center to continue his training as a pro wrestler.
Joe has been praised for his work with Vic Joseph and Jerry Lawler and has also consistently been on WWE Backstage.
