Finish Changed For This Week’s WWE RAW Main Event Match
Things can change throughout the day leading up to an event, and that appears to have been the case for the main event of this week’s episode of WWE RAW.
According to a report from reddit user Loose Lips Backstage, who has been responsible for leaking several stories lately – such as the arrest angle with Lana and Lashley, the finish for this week’s main event six man tag was changed from the original scripted finish. However, this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Randy Orton was supposed to be in the main event instead of Rey Mysterio, this was not the case at all according to Loose Lips Backstage.
Loose Lips Backstage stated that there were never plans to have Randy Orton be in the main event on this week’s RAW, but instead that he was to be involved in the finish as he was slated to interfere.
“There were NO plans for Orton to officially be a part of this match. Original script had same six men in match, just different finish. Original was Orton interfering during the match and giving Styles an RKO which led to Mysterio pinning Styles for the win. Then Orton would give RKOs to Anderson and Gallows.
Again, there were no plans to have Orton in the match.”
