Former WCW Manager Sonny Onoo was a guest on High Spot Podcast and talked about why Jyushin Thunder Liger was such a beloved & respected wrestler throughout the world, while revealing an interesting hobby Liger had when touring the United States for WCW.
Sonny Onoo- “When I used to travel with him (Liger) in the United States with WCW I couldn’t get him to go out. One day I discovered why. He’s actually a great artist. What he does is he sculpts all these great Japanese monsters like Kaiju, Godzilla, and Ultra Man all those guys. I’m going to give you guys a little exclusive here. He’s actually a great sculptor so he takes a little clay and sculpts all these great figures of the great monsters. He’s just one of those guys that’s just so easy to work with, willing to do anything, one of the nicest men, a true professional and I think that’s why he has so much fanfare and certainly why New Japan give him a big farewell.”
