Wrestle Kingdom Unlikely To Be Two-Day Event Next Year
Former WCW Manager Sonny Onoo was a guest on High Spot Podcast and was asked whether or not he thought NJPW would consider making Wrestle Kingdom a two-day event again next year. With the overall success of this year’s Wrestle Kingdom it was very interesting to hear Sonny’s response.
Sony Onoo– “I think they had like 77,00 fans something like that I think that’s what was reported in two days. I don’t know what the cost, I don’t know what the bottom line on the numbers are but I don’t they will do it again and from what I understand its because of logistics there aren’t too many times that the Tokyo Dome is available two nights together certainly in this period when they do the first weekend in January I don’t think that’s available again from what I understand from the people that I spoke to in Japan. To answer your question I don’t think New Japan is going to do a two day event again.”
