AEW might be signing a former IWGP United States Champion. Lance Archer has apparently been in negotiations with All Elite Wrestling.
According to a report by Sports Illustrated, Lance Archer and AEW are apparently in “high-level talks.” While he does still work in NJPW, it is on a per tour agreement.
Multiple sources close to AEW confirmed that Archer is in high-level talks with the company. He is currently scheduled to New Japan’s tour of the United States, which begins Friday in Tampa and runs through Feb. 1 in Atlanta.
Lancer Archer was the previous IWGP United States Champion. He lost the title to Jon Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom this year. He is 43 years old and still in very good physical condition. He would certainly make a good addition to the All Elite Wrestling roster.
