Io Shirai Suffers Injury That Will Keep Her Out Of Action For Two Months
NXT Superstar Io Shirai had been rumored to be a potential candidate for a main roster call-up, however that appears to be shelved as she has reported suffered an injury that will keep her out of action.
It’s being reported that Io Shirai suffered an injury to her knee on this week’s episode of WWE NXT, and that she will be out of action for at least two months. It had initial been thought that the injury was kayfabe and part of a storyline as most of the injuries mentioned on the NXT Injury Report are, but it now appears that Io was injured in her match earlier this week against Toni Storm.
The details and exact nature of her injury have not been revealed, but Io did post a photo on her twitter account showing what looks to be a knee brace.
