At last night’s Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, some of you may have noticed a slight shake-up to the WWE RAW Announce Team.
Absent from last night’s broadcast was RAW Announce Team Member Vic Joseph. He was instead replaced with Tom Phillips, and according to a report from PWInsider this change will be permanent going forward as we will see Phillips instead of Joseph on tonight’s episode of RAW as well. The decision to have Phillips replace Joseph going forward was the reason Joseph wasn’t used during last night’s Royal Rumble broadcast.
“As of this week, Tom Phillips will be officially replacing Vic Joseph as the lead announcer of the Monday Night Raw brand, PWInsider.com has confirmed.”
It was also reported that the decision to replace Vic Joseph with Tom Phillips on RAW was made sometime during the week. Joseph is still with WWE, just has been taken off the RAW announce team.
