80’s Wrestling Con promoter, Tommy Fierro, announced on via his social media his intent to debut a new wrestling promotion in his home state of New Jersey. On April 24th in Totowa, NJ. Retro Championship Wrestling will make its debut!
Below is the official announcement from Retro Wrestling Founder, Tommy Fierro.
The past year I’ve really enjoyed running the 80’s Wrestling Cons and I’m so excited for the next one on April 18th. Those are only twice a year though and I’ve gotten the itch to do more than that. I wanted to capitalize on the popularity of my 80’s Wrestling brand and incorporate live events into the mix. The idea of Retro Championship Wrestling was born! This will be ran like an old school 80’s promotion, where you can bring your kids to the wrestling YOU grew up on!
I’m happy to announce the debut event will take place on Friday evening, April 24th at the Totowa PAL in Totowa, NJ! Tito Santana Merced Solis has officially been signed as the Commissioner of Retro Championship Wrestling and will be on hand for the debut event! I’m looking forward to seeing what Tito has in store for RCW!
80’s wrestler Sunny Beach Rick Allen will also debut as a MANAGER for RCW! Mr. Sunny Beach is currently searching the Independents and will sign someone to debut as his guy on April 24th!
Former WWE Superstar Gene Snisky (SniTsky) will be in action, along with former WCW Star Crowbar Christopher Ford PT, and current ROH Star Rhett Titus!
The main event will be a SPRING RUMBLE (Royal Rumble style match) where the winner will be crowned the first ever Retro Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion!

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, February 15th at 10 AM.
