AJ Styles was injured during the 2020 Royal Rumble match. The injury took place when he took a spear from Edge, which dislocated his shoulder.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about AJ Styles’ injury. He was told that Styles is expected to return to the ring within 4-6 weeks. Here is what he had to say:
“AJ Styles looks optimistically they’re looking at 4 to 6 weeks out. The plan is they hope that he’ll be ready for WrestleMania. He talked about it and said it’s not Edge’s fault at all. He just tried to take this great bump for Edge’s spear and in doing so he separated his shoulder.”
The belief is that he will be ready in time for Wrestlemania. For now, it is not known what Wrestlemania plans WWE has for AJ upon his return.
