MVP made his WWE return during the Royal Rumble. He also competed in a match on the following RAW, where he faced off against Rey Mysterio.
He was unable to win in the match and then announced that his match on Monday was his final WWE match. Following his announcement, MVP also said that he has not signed a contract with WWE. The reason why he wrestled was so that his son could see him compete.
People keep asking me about the “deal I signed” with WWE. I never signed a deal. I came back so that my son could see me wrestle in person and for him to see me wrestle his favorite wrestler.
While MVP might wrestle again in the future, it is not going to be with WWE. We will have to see what’s in store for the veteran.
