Update: Jeff Cobb’s AEW Contract Status
Last night we had reported that Jeff Cobb signed with AEW. Cobb is set to make his in-ring debut against Jon Moxley next week on Wednesday Night Dynamite. According to PWInsider.com Cobb is still technically a free agent, despite his appearance on last night’s show. Chris Jericho’s “hired gun” just may be that a hired gun, as Cobb is signed to a limited amount of scheduled appearances for AEW. It was also reported that Jeff’s contract with ROH expired in late 2019 and was working on a per-show basis for the company.
Jeff Cobb’s per-show agreement allowed him to show up on AEW Televison last night without any kind of repercussions from previous employers, as Cobb is scheduled to team up with Dan Maff against KENTA and Taishi Ishimori at ROH’s Supercard of Honor in Lakeland, Florida on April, 4th.
